I am intrigued by objects that influence the behavior of light or alter our view of the world—glass, smoke, water, motion, clouds—and I work to capture their ephemeral qualities in my artworks, adding layers of information, some to reveal or focus, some to conceal or alter. I strive to create images that are pleasing, interesting, and thought-provoking, inviting a closer look. Juxtaposing reality and abstraction, balance and tension, tradition and technology, and the organic and geometric is my form of creative play, and experimenting with these ideas is an endless source of fascination for me.
